All children under the age of 16 will be given free admittance when accompanied by a paying adult. 

All children under the age of 11 will be given a safety wrist band encase of a lost child scenario. 


Q: When will the festival site open to the public?


Friday the festival will open at 4pm and close at 12am. Live music will begin at 7pm.  

Saturday the festival will open at 10am and close at 12am. Live music will begin at 3pm.




Q: Can I arrive by car? 

A: Yes, adequate car parking is available at the council offices at Tredomen business park.


Q: Can I arrive by train? 

A: Yes, Ystrad Mynach Train station is a 10 minute walk from the shuttle collection point. Ystrad Mynach station is situated on the Rhymny valley line and can be accessed via Cardiff Central or Queen street Stations.   

Q: Can I arrive by bus? 

A: Yes, there is a bus stop situated a 5 minute walk from the shuttle collection point. 





Q: How often will the shuttle service operate? 



The shuttle service will operate every 30 minutes on starting at 4pm and finishing at 12:30am.


The service will operate from 11am until 2pm then recommence at 6pm and finish at 12:30am. 

Q: Will the Shuttle service be free? 

A: No unfortunately not there will be a small charge. 

Q: Am i guaranteed a seat on the shuttle? 

A: No, however the shuttle service will not leave any party goers stranded and will continue until everyone has reached there destination. 

Q: Where will the shuttle collect from? 

A: The shuttle service will collect people from the CCBC offices in Tredomen business park and deliver them to the festival gates. The shuttle and shuttle stop will be clearly marked.




Q: Are there lockers available at the festival? 

A: Unfortunately we cannot provide lockers at this years Glastonselfy. 



Q: Will there be cash points on site? 

A: No, however there is a cash point in the local town of ystrad Mynach. A ten minute walk from the shuttle collection point. 

Q: Can I pay using my card at Glastonselfy? 

A: Some vendors may offer card payment, however the main food and alcohol vendors will be unable to accept any form of credit or debit card. 




Q: Can I buy tickets on the day? 

A: Unfortunately not, however exceptions will be given for groups/family's arriving with an extra person.


  • Entry will be denied to any person deemed to be under the influence of Drugs, or in excess of alcohol

  • Any persons refusing to allow security to carry out a search they feel appropriate will be refused entry.

  • Any person refusing to allow security to act in a manner they deem fit and proper will be refused access

  • Any person found to be acting in an illegal manner will be removed from the site and refused access

Searches will only be carried out by SIA accredited personnel. Searches will be random and for the purpose of confiscation or seizure of contraband items.

Any illegal goods confiscated will be handed over to the police at the earliest possible time and the offender reported.




The event team are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for all, we understand that the key to this is a fair and productive alcohol policy which will encourage responsible drinking.

Glastonselfy will be operating a Challenge 25, and will only accept the following forms of identification; Passport, Photo card section of a Driving license.


The bar will not sell alcohol to anyone (no matter how old they are) without proof of festival attendance. we will also confiscate alcohol and denying future service to anyone:

  • acting in a disruptive or abusive manner whilst under the influence of alcohol.

  • purchasing alcohol for the consumption of a minor.

  • purchasing alcohol for someone who has been refused for being in excess of alcohol.





The Glastonselfy team will have a no tolerance approach to drug usage.

We understand the dangers of drug use and will take steps to control the entry and use of illegal substances on site.

Anyone found in possession of illegal substances will be removed from the festival site and reported to the local authorities.




Glastonselfy 2018 is mainly an open air festival however in the event of adverse weather leading up to the event appropriate contingency plans will be brought into effect moving 90% of the festival undercover allowing you to party on no matter what the weather!





  • No glass is to be brought on to the festival grounds.​

  • No open fires this includes gas bbq's fire pits and candles.

  • No Loud Music on campsites between the hours of 10pm and 11am.
